Putting "50s", "60s", "Mad Men", "Rat Pack" can help too. JC Penny also made many of these knits. Once you found one you like, take note of the maker and use the name in the search. Hope this helps. Watch the Cloth Moth is one of my favorite places to go on Facebook. Brands like Campus and Towncraft by JC Penneys were popular brands in the 60s. You might want to use these words in your searches."Patrick Foisyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02610371104788169232noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3352949628152379365.post-43405582286134712102016-03-31T08:20:11.033-04:002016-03-31T08:20:11.033-04:00Dear Patrick,

Wash and dry Smedleys properly and you never get problems. Theres cheap cotton and theres good cotton, they should have put a little bit of silk in the mix. I'll keep an eye out for their 100 wool stuff.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3352949628152379365.post-86808990002904788732014-05-15T08:22:49.502-04:002014-05-15T08:22:49.502-04:00I asked Daniele from Connection and here's his...I asked Daniele from Connection and here's his response: "Our knits are made of a 50/50 cotton/acrylic because a percentage of synthetic helps to give more rigidity, crispness, wrinkle resistance and durability to the fabric, expecially when we put different textures on the same shirt (like in The Vanguard) and especially when there's a lot of tailoring and sewing involved (again the Vanguard is a fitting example).

The Autumn/Winter knits will be in 100% merino wool because different styles require different material and different making processes to grant the best results."Patrick Foisyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02610371104788169232noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3352949628152379365.post-71270451459137250312014-05-14T15:02:14.488-04:002014-05-14T15:02:14.488-04:00Isn't Connection knitwear made from a 50/50 co...Isn't Connection knitwear made from a 50/50 cotton/poly mix?
